OLIVER SHAW

Oliver Shaw is a British artist based in Berlin, creating original paintings, drawings, murals, and mixed-media artworks that combine urban influences, imagination, and expressive mark-making.

Known as The Shaw since childhood, Oliver Shaw is a British-born artist whose creative journey began on the south coast of England. Growing up during the vibrant 1990s, he spent his time skateboarding between the art schools of Hastings and Brighton — an era that played a defining role in shaping his artistic vision.

During his studies, Oliver was influenced by a number of respected artists and mentors who helped develop his unique approach to creativity. Over a decade of exploration across Graphic Design, Illustration, and Fine Art, he built the foundations of a diverse artistic practice that now spans mural painting, portraiture, web design, and abstract expressionism.

What started as a passion for drawing, making, and painting evolved into a lifelong dedication to visual storytelling. His work has since appeared on walls, in galleries, and in private collections around the world, with Shaw paintings recognised for their distinctive style, energy, and imaginative approach.

Now based in Berlin, Oliver continues to create from a city rich in history, culture, and creative freedom — always looking to “view the brighter side of life from the other side of the fence.”
